Just a reminder chapters, please – do not call me with information of a death in
your chapter, but please submit detailed information on the deceased member form
which can be found on the UDC webpage, www.ncudc.org, under forms. Provide
full name, date of birth and death, confederate ancestor, next of kin, if real daughter,
granddaughter, etc. and cemetery for burial.
The information on the form is necessary for me to report the correction information
to General.
Please report deaths as they occur, but no later than September 5, 2009 so your
deceased chapter member can be included in the Division Memorial Service.
Remember the report period is September 1 through August 31.
When you report a death of a chapter member, I as NC Division Chaplain will report
all deaths to the Chaplain General and the UDC Magazine editor, so you do not have
to do that.
