Weldon Confederate Cemetery
Below is a list of soldiers who died at the Wayside Hospital in Weldon, NC and are believed buried at the
Confederate Cemetery "also known as the Soldiers' Burying Ground" in Weldon, NC.  The North Carolina
Division has placed a monument at the cemetery engraved with the names of the soldiers.  An October 11, 2009
ceremony was held.  The Cemetery is the property of the North Carolina Division UDC. Roanoke Rapids

date of death is engraved on the monument. As you can see, most of the soldiers are from NC but some are
from GA, SC, FL, VA, LA, AL, TX, and AR. Checks should be made payable and mailed to NC Division
