| NORTH CAROLINA DIVISION 3RD VICE PRESIDENT Michele Miller First I want to let you all know what a great year it has been serving as 3rd Vice President/NC Division Director, CofC. NC had 2 great conventions this year with the children! At the General Convention in Orlando, NC won 8 division awards and Charlotte Gray’s 844 won 2 chapter awards. Superior Chapters Awards were Brave Young Joe Cash 942, Charles F Fisher 73, and Lizzie Lindsay 776. Honor Roll Chapters Awards were Bentonville Grays 930, Burke Davis 478, Charlotte Grays 844, and Robert F Hoke 867. By the end of June 2009 NC had received 26 new CofC members! I will give you more details at our UDC Division Convention in October. It has been a great experience serving with and learning from the children! Want to remind all our Chapter Directors to keep up the great work of collections and sending cards and gifts to soldiers, shut ins, and our Randolph Relief Ladies. Our CofC Division President Richard Council has a few new projects for our Division. We will be collecting money and items for Victory Junction and Give2theTroops. These are both great ways for us to give to those less fortunate and to those who protect us every day! We are excited about the upcoming year in the CofC. President General Richard Fairchild and his Executive Committee should have their projects and goals packet out by the first of September. Please write down these important dates and make plans to attend upcoming conventions. NC Division Annual Convention is April 23-24, 2010 in Wilmington, NC and the Annual General Convention is in Decatur, Georgia July 21-24, 2010. Also, our NC Division Executive Board meeting will be September 19, 2009 at the NC UDC House in Raleigh. All Division CofC Officers should attend and please bring all officer notebooks to the meeting. Please visit our CofC website! There is a link to it at www.ncudc.org.
